Program Learning Outcomes for BA in Sociology 

Understudies proceeding onward from this anticipate will: 

• Understand the components of theory and its use in the human sciences. Understudies will be familiar with key social researchers in the field. Understudies will appreciate key speculative thoughts and be content with using them past the classroom. 
• Increment wealthier appreciation of the social world, including class, race, sexual introduction, ethnicity, direction, family, occupation, deviancy, wellbeing, and overall citizenship and how the human social world impacts its environment. 
• Apply sociological learning and get ready to grasp speculation and system masterminded around issues of human success in the US and comprehensive, including how to appreciate the relationship amidst lopsidedness and variables like race, class, sex, and preparing. 
• Apply methodological, speculative, and research capacities to do observational investigation wanders. 

Degree Requirements for BA in Sociology 

Eleven courses are required for the major in human science (no under 33 semester hours). Traditionally, these courses will be scattered as takes after. Any exceptions to these requirements must be embraced by the Major/Minor Advisor and/or seat of the Undergraduate Advising Committee Chair.
